One lovely Sunday, I visited the mall with my siblings, Jessica and Bryan. When we arrived at its foyer, we saw many people lining up. We were really curious and decided to find out. The shopping complex was organising a Shampoothon.
We were extremly excited and decided to participate. We joined the rest of the patrons who wanted to get their hair washed. Each person had to pay RM 25 that would go to various charities.
Besides to raises fund, the Shampoothon was an effort to make a record of having to wash the hair of at least 1000 volunteers in one day. There were 70 shampoo girls and guys involved for this task.
At the end of the day, the organisers announced that 1068 people participated in the Shampoothon. It was a great success. The three of us were proud to be involved in a good cause and be included in the Malaysia Book of Records.
